A Physical Theatre Show about Dogma
THE DESK is a theatre show about a hierarchical, disciplined community: a teacher, five students and five school desks.
It is an attempt to understand cults, extreme political groups, doctrines and sects: groups that offer a structured worldview, hope and security.
Highly visual and rich in its physical expression, the show has been praised by audience and media alike for it’s metaphorical approach to the complex theme.
DIRECTOR Reetta Honkakoski belongs to the forefront of Finnish physical theatre, having specialized in the art of Corporeal Mime. On stage with Honkakoski there is an international ensemble of talented physical actors.
